Caring for your items

PLEASE NOTE IMPROPER CARE CAN VOID YOUR WARRANTY (ALL ITEMS INCLUDE 12 MONTHS WARRANTY)
MUD KITCHENS
  • Benchtops need to be coated with marine grade decking oil every 3 months
  • When the bench starts to grey use a sander to bring it back then coat with decking oil
  • If mildew occurs follow the same instructions as when they grey
  • Cracks/splinters may occur from timber drying out and occasionally can happen to benchtops.
  • Clear coat is required every 6-12 months on painted kitchen frames
  • Raw and stained kitchens must be clear coated every 3 months to ensure they are safe for your little ones as all of our framing timber is treated to prevent rot (spray clear coat is best for this part)
  • Cover when not in use. Barbecue covers can be great for this. Leaving under a deck is not considered covering your kitchen.
  • Wipe bench tops down after use
  • Do not climb on your kitchens
  • Oven frames, chalkboard frames and dials are not treated and require clear coat every 3 months
  • If your kitchen is left uncovered we do not take responsibility for how it reacts to different weather conditions but we do recommend for you to clear coat more frequently if you aren't covering them (please do cover them)

INDOOR KITCHENS

  • These are for indoors or enclosed cubby houses only
  • When using the mild water play option please ensure you wipe benchtop thoroughly after use
  • Re coat benchtop with a clear coat every 6 months if being used in a cubby house or for water play
  • Clear coat oven trim every 3 months if it's being exposed to any elements

CHALKBOARDS

  • Chalkboards are to be removed from fence after use to prevent water pooling behind it or alternatively you can use a cover
  • Chalkboard paint is not made for outdoors and there will be some fade over time so covering/ storing it will help it's life span but you can recoat when needed
  • If you're leaving the chalkboard on the fence uncovered we recommend clear coating the back and frame every 3-6 months. We take no responsibility for how they react to the weather when not properly cared for
  • Chalkboard paint may crack over time so reapply every 6 months or as necessary with a paint brush or roller

ZOOS

  • Position against a wall using a safety strap
  • Frequently check your zoos strings to keep them intact
  • Remove all strings if damage occurs

LEGO TABLE

  • Do not pry off plates
  • Some lifting over time is to be expected
  • Tubs may not hold when filled too much

WORKBENCHES

  • Do not leave kids workbenches in an uncovered area as the peg boards are not weather proof
